Women

Mairik resort wear is made for slow summer days: loose linen and silk silhouettes finished with traditional Armenian hand embroidery. Every dress, kaftan, set and robe is embroidered by hand by women artisans in Armenia, including ethnic Armenian refugees from Syria, using techniques practised for more than 2,000 years.

Each collection draws on the embroidery of a different region. Adana and Mariam carry Ayntap patterns, Sanahin includes Marash work, and Araks and Van add fine silk embroidery to soft linen. These motifs were traditionally worn as protective amulets and symbols of prosperity.

Natural fabrics keep every piece light and breathable, from the beach to dinner by the sea. A share of Mairik's profits supports education for girls from low-income families.
